Paid Student Mentorships with Walking Shadow
NOTE: We are
no longer receiving applications for our 2010-2011 season. If you are
interested in applying for next year's positions, please feel free to
contact us. We will gladly notify you when the next application cycle
begins.
Walking Shadow is looking for students who want to work with our regular professional artists for paid, in-depth, hands-on, personalized production mentorships. Each mentorship will cover the span of a single production in our 2010-2011 season.
We offer opportunities in three fields: Stage Management, Directing or Lighting Design. Student mentees will work with a professional theatre artist to gain real-world training in their specific field. Through hands-on work for the duration of the production, students will develop practical insight into the workings of a small professional theatre. We will work with each student to determine their individual needs, interests and schedule with the full participation of the student, their mentor and the project coordinator. Each student mentee will be paid a $200 stipend to compensate for transportation costs.
